After what felt like an incredibly long fluctuation between summer and fall weather in Atlanta winter is finally here. These are my favorite things helping to keep my spirits up with the shorter days and stay polished for all of the festivities that come with the holiday season!

Flowers —> Seasoned Vanilla Forest

In the first edition I posted a couple of months ago of my seasonal favorites for Fall 2022 I mentioned how much I wanted to smell like a flower. Now with the maturation of the seasons, I’ve found myself reaching for scents with more depth that will make me smell like a cozy living room with lots of leather seating and wood paneling that has a trace of cookies baking in the kitchen. Although I still use the Native Deoderant in Lilac and White Tea, two products I’ve been leaning towards to help me emulate this *very specific* scent is the Byredo rollerball perfume in Gypsy Water and the legendary Sol de Janerio Brazilian Crush Cheirosa body spray.

The Purple Playlist

My sister Emma has been raving about the playlists made by The Weisest Band based on the feelings different colors give off since we lived in Stockholm this summer, and after months of putting it off I finally gave them a try for myself. Purple has been my go-to and I’ve rediscovered songs that make me want to look out the car window while pretending I’m in a music video, like ‘Never Tear Us Apart by INXS.

Wearing A Men’s Watch

My grandfather gifted me a Seiko thin watch with a black croc band that was previously gifted to him by my grandma. This has to be one of my most cherished accessories, as she engraved a heartfelt message on the back about how she’ll love him until the end of time. Give me a second while I try to suck tears back into my tear ducts. Anyways, adding this watch to my regular rotation of jewelry has helped elevate my outfits no matter how casual they are.

I was influenced by Margot Lee to buy this product after being in the market to upgrade my cleansing game. Made by the skincare brand Twenties World, their Up & Away Cleansing Balm has transformed the way I get a clean complexion after wearing makeup or sweating bullets. The best part about this cleansing balm is the fact that you only need a dime-sized amount to get the job done, and it still manages to keep your skin feeling soft after rinsing it off.

Only Going Outside to Get the Mail

The bears are in hibernation and so am I. If there’s anywhere you’ll find me during the last winter break I’ll ever get it’ll be on the couch still wearing pajamas by the time dinner rolls around. You will only catch me getting fresh air if it’s to take Titiboo out or get the mail, and if it’s raining, forget about it.
