As someone whose purse is constantly weighed down by the number of receipts, coasters, and pamphlets collected from various whereabouts, I’ve finally taken the liberty of finding a purpose for them. Instead of letting them collect dust or meet their fate with the trash can, I’ve started taping them onto a blank page in my journal and then recounting the context associated with the memory. If scrapbooking is a hobby you’ve always wanted to get into, this is a perfect alternative that still enables you to recount memories in a visual manner while taking half the time. This practice has added so much more life to my journal and has in a way forced me to get into the habit of keeping track of times that would’ve otherwise been forgotten.
