It’s officially soup season, and there’s no better way to kick it off than with this easy and minimal ingredient egg drop soup recipe! This is my go-to recipe to make for dinner after a long day at work, and is the perfect base to pair with a spring roll and ramen noodles.
Ingredients (1 serving)
– 1/2 cup chicken bone broth
– 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon
– 1 egg
– umami seasoning powder
– 1/2 tablespoon soy sauce
– (optional) chopped green onion
– (optional) spicy garlic chili crisp
Preparation (takes literally 5 mins)
1. Bring 1 cup of water and 1/2 a cup of chicken bone broth to a simmer on medium heat in a medium sized pot.
2. Add in the chicken bouillon and umami seasoning powder. Stir until dissolved.
3. Crack an egg into the soup and stir until the egg pieces are cooked and separated.
4. Splash a little bit of soy sauce into the mix and plop some chopped green onion and spicy garlic chili crisp in as well if you feel so compelled.
ET VOILÀ!!!!
