2024 show & tell: spring favorites

By

  • Going on afternoon walks in Goodale Park. And aiming to get at least 5k steps in each day. Hibernation season is over.
  • Sourdough chocolate chip cookies. The starter adds a richness that amplifies the flavor and makes the texture chewy while allowing a crunchy crust to form. 11/10.
  • This raccoon wallpaper ^ in the Alpana bathroom.
  • Drinking non-caffeinated tea. My go-to’s have been rooibos for the morning and Organic India’s Tulsi Sweet Rose blend before bed.
  • The city of Chicago.
  • DIM SUMMMMMMM!!! I tried it for the first time a couple of weekends ago and my life has been forever changed.
  • Not sticking to a rigid routine and letting things unfold as they’re meant to.
  • Mittens. I know this is out of place for a spring favorites recap, but your hands are such an underrated body part to strive to keep warm. When the weather gets unpredictably cold, mittens are the perfect ‘tiny but mighty’ accessory that can easily be tucked into a purse or pocket and save you from feeling like you’re getting hypothermia by holding a smoothie when it’s 40 degrees outside.
  • Orange wine.
  • Finally learning what makeup techniques work with my face.
  • This song – it’s really getting me in the mood for summer.
  • Playing darts. Y’all better watch out!!
