These tell you everything you need to know about the current state of my life.
How to Quickly Heal A Sunburn – The temperature finally reached above 70 degrees with a forecast of straight sunshine a couple of weekends ago. Naturally, I had to spend all day at the pool, but I made the unfortunate rookie mistake of not putting sunscreen on my kneecaps, which caused me to have to hobble around for a few days from the burns. (*This spray with Vaseline slathered on top SAVED me from experiencing any peeling).
The Northern Lights – When I was walking home from a birthday celebration last night I thought I was seeing spotlights from a club in the sky. Come to find out, it was the Northern Lights showing face in Ohio from the G5-level geomagnetic storm hitting the Earth right now – the laugh I had after realizing that 🤣.
What Causes the Different Colors at Sunrise and Sunset – In the same vein of atmospheric science, I’ve been curious lately about how the colors of the sky change at different points of the day, and this thread explains it in a way that’s easy to understand.
How to Prepare for a Tornado – ‘Nader season is officially upon us in the Midwest with the onset of warmer temperatures. We’ve already experienced two tornado warnings in Columbus, where I’ve had to make camp in my closet and hope for the best. Thankfully there hasn’t been any extensive damage in the city from them yet (knocking on wood as I type). Now I’m starting to remember why I never wanted to live in this region of the U.S. when I was growing up after watching The Wizard of Oz at the ripe age of five.
After reading through all of these I’m now laughing again at how they all coincidentally follow a common theme of being Earth-focused without me even realizing it. So this post is now in turn dedicated to Mother Nature.
