for the past few weeks I’ve made it my mission to try and start every day with the intention that i will be where my feet are planted.
this has helped me to reduce so much stress and anxiety, because there really isn’t THAT much to worry about in the present moment.
i recently saw a quote that David Ghiyam where he said that if you feel stress and anxiety, you are actually crossing the line and trying to do God’s job.
if the only thing that we’re guaranteed in life is this present moment, then our only responsibility at any given time is to try and maximize where we currently are as much as possible.
it’s literally above our pay grade to try and create scenarios for what could happen in the future and harp on what happened in the past because that is not part of this present moment.
what i’ve found so far from getting into the practice of “being where your feet are planted,” is that i have the ability to squeeze more out of the current moment. for example, instead of rushing to the grocery store and thinking about all the other things i need to do, now i walk a little bit slower, notice the little things i wouldn’t have otherwise.
if you tend to get into your head about things, i cannot recommend enough reminding yourself to be where your feet are planted.
i hope you have an incredible week ahead <3!!!!
💘, Hanna
