if you don’t know what to do with the dates lying in your fridge, let this viral yogurt bowl recipe be your North Star.
that has had me in a chokehold for the past few weeks, so i can personally attest that it’s the perfect pick-me-up that is packed with good-for-you ingredients.
(and lowest of the lowkey tastes like gooey butter cake from Jeni’s)
ingredients
-greek yogurt
-butter
-2-3 dates
-honey
-salt
-cinnamon
-olive oil
directions
- preheat pan on medium heat with a small sliver of butter
- add desired amount of greek yogurt to a bowl (i typically use 1/2 cup)
- chop dates (into quarters if you like bigger chunks, eights if you want more date flavor per square inch) and add to the pan
- cook dates until caramelized (takes about 3 mins)
- while the dates are cooling, add all the honey, cinnamon, salt, and olive oil that your heart desires to the yogurt
- top off with the caramelized dates
- ET VOILÀ!!!!
