if you want to start winning at life, then we’ve got to start with the foundation: your mindset.
welcome to Day 1 of the Bright Eyed and Bushy Tailed Series—where we begin by rewiring the hardware in our minds to start getting our sparkle back.
word on the street is that it takes 21 days to build a habit, and over the next 3 weeks, we’re going to ingrain a new way of thinking that supports your growth, self-worth, and ability to see the beauty in your everyday life.
today, we’re shocking the system (in a good way!)—training our brains to believe that life is happening for us, not to us. when you shift your thoughts and beliefs, your entire experience begins to transform. the goal here isn’t to change everything overnight, but to make small, consistent shifts that compound into lasting change.
so here’s your daily method moving forward—your toolkit to stop living on autopilot and start acting with intention:).
we’ll make sure that going forward we’re not living in autopilot and are making conscious and intentional actions throughout our day, which will be established by doing affirmations, journaling, and listening to uplifting media for the next 21 days.
each day, at any time that works for you, choose at least one of the following practices (or rotate between all three):
1. AFFIRMATIONS
we’re literally going to reprogram our self-concept through repetition. daily affirmations help embed empowering beliefs into your subconscious, making confidence, worthiness, and optimism your default setting.
- day 1 affirmation: “I am ready for my life to change for the better.”
2. JOURNALING
journaling is such a great way to release any thoughts that are constantly swirling in your mind to give you a blank slate for new possibilities to arise in your thoughts, and therefore, your life. there will be prompts throughout Week 1, and I highly recommend building this into your daily rhythm.
- a prompt to try today: “what would it look like to fully believe that life is working out in my favor?”
3. UPLIFTING MEDIA
think of media as the side of chips to your personal growth sandwich—not the main event, but something that enhances your experience. books, podcasts, and talks can offer the reframes, perspectives, and validation you didn’t even know you needed.
- Books That Helped To Transform My Mentality For the Better
- Podcasts That Consistently Provide Reframes and Positive Outlooks
- Align with Jenna Zoe: The Human Design Podcast
- The David Ghiyam Podcast
- The Ed Mylett Show (this episode with Rob Dyrdek is one of my favorites of all time)
just think of all these practices as a side of chips to go with your sandwiches; they’re not the main event, but they’re there to elevate your experience.
this isn’t about perfection—it’s about presence and intention. whether you speak a few affirmations aloud, jot a single sentence in your journal, or listen to a podcast while making your morning coffee, you’re planting the seeds for the mindset shift of a lifetime.
and remember: it’s not about doing everything, it’s about doing something. every single day.
let’s get bright eyed. let’s get bushy tailed. and let’s get to work on becoming who we’re meant to be!!!!
💘, HANNA
