in honor of selling my beloved floor length mirror on Facebook Marketplace this past week, here’s a compilation of all the outfits i managed to capture through its POV.

starting off strong with my favorite look from last winter, worn when my girls and i went to a celebratory Jeff Ruby’s dinner to commemorate getting our first promotion at work. the kick flare pants are a beloved treasure that i found while thrifting in Montreal, which served as a great addition to spicing up an all-black outfit.

with this particular look, i literally prayed to God the morning of to help me come up with an outfit that both encapsulates my style and would be cute to represent Georgia Tech at the bars. the answer came in the form of pairing a loose light-washed denim jean with sneakers, tying an oversized button down in the front, and bringing it home with a baby blue shoulder bag. i broke my foot trying to do a ballet leap down some stairs that night,

but didn’t let that keep me down for long (hence the crutches in the back). while i was in recovery, loose, long pants were my best friend to help to cover up the boot i had to sport for a few weeks. and this simple look proves the point that all you need are a few good accessories to make a statement, where i wore a necklace and beaded bag that both had purple in them to add some panache to the blank slate the all-black garments provided me with.

and while the mirror saw it all, some of the most defining moments we shared together were the times that i had 10 minutes to throw an outfit together. before running out the door, multiple shoe changes (i ended up going for the blue scrappy sandals here), SOS help me with my outfit texts sent to my mom and sister, and going back and forth typically ensue.

this was my favorite look when i went through a pilates phase this spring. when i’m not wearing black, a trick that seamlessly helps me formulate a dynamic, colorful outfit is sticking to the rule of only wearing three colors together at one time. as depicted above, i chose red as the main event, which was able to steal the show through white and blue accents sprinkled from head to toe.

another favorite one of mine from this past spring was a fresh take on a Canadian tuxedo. i paired a denim tunic i got while thrifting with Abercrombie’s bootcut jeans, a pair of cowboy boots, and my grandma’s jaguar belt.

clubbing in Cbus is more fun than one would expect, and this Free People top paired with the Montreal kick-flares i raved about earlier turned out to be the perfect combination for a fun night out.

if you can’t tell by now, i LOVE to wear black. every season presents a new opportunity on how i can reimagine an all-black outfit, and above is what i wore to one of my dear friends Reagan’s birthday celebration / Thanksgiving potluck in the fall. when in doubt, a statement shoe + mini skirt + sweater = an easy-to-execute and impactful outfit as the temperatures start to drop.

and now bringing it full circle by going all the way back to square one, with the first photo i ever took in the magical mirror,

and the last. bye bye mirror, you will be missed!!!
💘, HANNA
