a day in the life of a stay at home daughter

By

what i’ve been up to as an unemployed lil lady while living with my parents before i make the move to NYC!

the first thing i see when i open my eyes is a magical light show put on by a disco ball my mom somehow perfectly positioned on a side table to catch the morning light.

food combining is a way of eating i’ve been loosely following for over five years now, and one of its tenants is only eating fruit first thing in the morning on an empty stomach. sungold kiwis with a sprinkle of coconut and a side of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice gets me literally springing out of bed in the morning.

the next order of business is unloading the dishwasher, because it’s really the least i could do.

after my long, lazy morning routine is complete, i typically head off to a heated workout class. on this day in particular i was repping my favorite souvenir i got from living in Ohio, the t-shirt i bought off a guy’s back at a bar.

rebounding + arms = the perfect targeted finisher after coming back from the workout!!

then i like to do a brain-dump journal entry (morning pages style) and get my to-do list in order with an iced vanilla latte before having lunch.

spent a couple hours applying to jobs and networking as one does when unemployed.

getting all-white outfits out of my system before Labor Day rolls around, and with the AC blasting in the house, it felt warranted to do a full on sweat suit.

swipe to finish unpacking my belongings from the move!!!

see how its dark outside now? i really don’t like unpacking and procrastinate it as long as i can.

these vacuum sealed bags have been lifesavers as i’m starting to get suitcases in order for life in New York. right now the plan is for me to only take three suitcases up with me, but we’ll see how that ends up turning out.

to break up the time spent unpacking, i went on a walk with my mom after dinner in my lucky Future Summer Sixteen tour t-shirt.

to treat myself for all of my hard work that day, i watched the Braves game with my roommates. they sat by the Braves dugout once and said that Marcel Ozuna smelled incredible, so i’ve been on the edge of my seat with curiosity for a few years trying to figure out what his cologne combination is.

and then at an embarrassingly early time i retire to bed. after about two years of sitting in my room i FINALLY got around to hanging up the painting my college friends and i made during my 22nd birthday pregame.

sweet dreams ❤

💘, HANNA
