right now my cash flow is primarily focused on investing in the journey of trying as many restaurants as possible in New York City. i’m building a diversified portfolio of wine bars, allocating assets toward croissants, and hedging my risks with cozy neighborhood spots that have strong potential to become a regular at. beli has been my favorite way of tracking my restaurant-experimentation progress, so here’s a glimpse into what my first month diving into the NYC food scene has looked like.

& last but certainly not least……

a special shoutout is owed to my roommate and bestie, Chloe, for tackling well over 20 different restaurants and drink spots with me so far. it has been SO FUN to explore the city and live out a new chapter of life together that we’d dreamed of for years.

i ate a huge bite of a Levain cookie without knowing there were walnuts in it (i have a severe tree nut allergy) and had to be hospitalized a couple weekends ago. that will go down in the books for the most expensive cookie i’ll ever have, and Chloe the best emergency contact a girl could ask for.
hopefully next time i check in i will have gotten a reservation to 4 Charles, found my go-to bodega for a bagel, and continued to stay away from Levain cookies.
💘, HANNA
