my mom, who is a creative genius and ‘hostess with the mostess,’ came up with the resourceful idea of making flavored, festive ice cubes for our Thanksgiving feast.
i loved them so much that i made some for my 24th birthday party this week, and they’ve proved to be a hit amongst guests time after time again!
these festive ice cubes are absolutely stunning, a great way to add flavor to a glass of bubbly, and can easily be tailored to what you currently have on-hand. they can also be made ahead of time to help your holiday hosting efforts be as seamless and stress-free as possible!
what you’ll need
ice cube tray (this is what i used but this is a super fun option as well)
pomegranate juice
fresh rosemary sprigs
one orange (sliced into small wedges)
pomegranate seeds
water
how to make the festive ice cubes
- fill your ice cube mold of choice about 3/4ths of the way up with half water and half pomegranate juice
- add at least two small orange wedges, ten pomegranate seeds, and seven rosemary needles to each section of the ice cube mold
- *you can add as many as your heart desires but i found this to be the perfect formula*
- stir all of the contents within each ice cube section for an even dispersion
- put the lid on, pop the tray in the freezer, and leave them be for about two days to let everything solidify
- once ready to serve, gently pop each ice cube out onto a plate and place into a fancy schmancy glass, and top with your liquid of choice (processco has reigned as the favorite pairing around here)
- enjoy!

ET VOILÀ! hope you have an incredible holiday season ahead.
💘, Hanna
