everything to do, see, and eat while spending time in the most beautiful city in the world.
FOOD

bakeries
- Lillebrors bageri: the home of the best cardamom bun in Stockholm (go during the week to avoid long lines)
- Stora Bageriet: a one-stop shop with pasties so good, seagulls circle constantly for their chance to swipe one
- Fabrique: a Stockholm staple and the perfect spot to have a fika
- Skeppsbro Bageri: has a great outdoor seating area and grab-and-go sandwich options

casual restaurants
- Rosendals Trädgård: an outdoor garden with an apple orchard, gardens and some of the best lunch food in town
- Östermalmsgrillen: a classic spot to get a Swedish hotdog
- Östermalms Saluhall: a food hall founded in 1888
- Restaurant Pelikan: the Odeon equivalent of Stockholm

upscale eats
- Sturehof: the #1 ranked restaurant on my Beli
- Gondolen: it’s been two weeks and i’m still thinking of their torsk and view of the city
- Den Gyldene Freden: an establishment that’s been open for 300+ years and home to my favorite Swedish meatballs in the city

sweet treats
- any of the outdoor stands in Östermalm for a mjukglass with rainbow sprinkles on top
- most grocery stores have Swedish candy in your typical “fill your own bag” style, and the Hemköp in the Åhléns near Central Station has the freshest and widest selection
- a SIA Glass Glassbåt is a classic Swedish ice cream found in pharmacies and grocery stores
BARS

rooftop / outdoor
- Mosebacketerrassen: the Ladybird equivalent of Stockholm
- Dramatenterrassen: my favorite bar in Stockholm
- Strandbryggan: where we met Post Malone in 2022

indoor and a great time
- The Grand Hôtel: has great service and view of the royal palace
- Stampen: a blue and jazz bar with live music nightly
- Kouthhoofd Familie Winkel: a recently-opened listening bar with great cider and small bites
SHOPPING

- Hilda Hilda: a shop full of handmade Swedish organic textiles; this is my sister Emma’s favorite store in the whole world & rightfully so
- Stockholms Stadsmission: a thrift shop with locations around the city, and i’ve had the most luck at the one located in Gamla Stan
- Nordiska Kompaniet (known as NK on the streets): the Bergdorf Goodman of Stockholm, where we always come home with bags of house-blended tea from the bottom floor
- Arket: an H&M brand that doesn’t ship to the U.S., making the trip there all the more worthwhile
- Hellstone: a music store that has one of Elivs’s original guitars and some really cool merch
- Åhléns: the Nordstrom of Stockholm, and just like NK, we always end up walking out with a new Moomin cup to add to our personal collections and a new journal for the year
EXCURSIONS

- bike or walk around Djurgården and then get lunch at Rosendals Trädgård
- take the ferry out to Vaxholm in the Stockholm Archipelago
- sunset stroll around Gamla Stan with an ice cream
- have an outdoor bar crawl along the famous street in Östermalm, Strandvägen
- spend a day at the outdoor museum Skansen, which has peacocks that roam free and the cinnamon bun that i wrote my college essays on
- take a picnic dinner and some Swedish cider to the scenic Ivar Los Park
- catch a concert in Södermalm
💘, HANNA
