coming out of LPOL-post hibernation for my favorite post i get to make each year, my fall favorites. here are all of the practices, experiences, and things that have made these past couple of months transitioning to the colder months all the more special.

- going on walks around the West Village and Gramercy at night to the Halloween stoops, and the East Village during the day to see all the beautiful foliage
- a chilled red wine (Meiomi Pinot Noir and Chill Ya Jolo Ciliegiolo are perfection)

- spending every possible moment i can outside before it gets too cold, so this entailed helping to collect leaves for my sister’s leaf garland one Sunday afternoon
- an egg bagel with scallion cream cheese

- rediscovering clothes from family members, like my Poppi’s leather jacket and Mimi’s butterfly shawl, both pictured above
- listening to 2010s Drake and watching Yung Lean’s performance of STORM at this year’s VMAs

- Lewis Barbecue, which has become the last meal i have with my family before heading to the airport
- and because it’s all about balance, my Equinox membership and the weekly barre class i take religiously
- having a fantasy football team for the first time ever! i drafted Jackson Dart as my first round pick and am better for it.

- all of the time i’ve gotten to spend with loved ones as of late, including getting to see my brother’s band The Gringos perform in the city during Halloweekend (they were dressed as Despicable Me characters)
- watching THE NEW YORK CITY MARATHON!!! we screamed so much cheering people on that i lost my voice.
💘, HANNA
